Done! 472 pages. 106,000 words -- about 16,000 over my contract and 6,000 over the amended verbal agreement with my editor. But it's DONE, and being shipped off to the press this afternoon by FedEx. Of course there'll be more edits down the road, and the looming horror of copyediting, but here's what's important:
